The Little Barrier Island form of Nikau is known for its toughness, in that it can survive in tough conditions when compared to its mainland cousin. There is also stands of Nikau on Great Barrier Island also reknown for their toughness.
20 young plants in 5cm wide pots, about 1 to 1.5 years old, 3 to 5 leaves.
