Hydrangea Merveille Sanguine is a medium-sized, deciduous shrub with large, dark green oval leaves which change colours over the season – green to dark purple then deeper red colour in autumn.
The mophead flowers are a red to deep pink colour on acid soil
Hardy and can grow to 1.5m if left unpruned.
Likes a semi shady position best. Currently without leaves as Hydrangea macrophylla are often deciduous in winter.
