20 x Alnus cordata – Italian Alder
A moderate growing shelter tree which is oftern used in shelter belts as it can be trimmed successfully. It holds its leaves well with a long season compared to other shelter trees. Rich glossy green heart shaped leaves. Originally from southern Italy.
When not pruned will get to 25m tall with an 80 – 100cm wide trunk.
Some drought tolerance and hardy.
Deciduous.
