Description
Native Manuka, Leptospermum scoparium, is a fast growing shrub with white flowers in Summer. Bees are attracted to the white flowers.
It is one of New Zealand’s most common species.
Along with flax and carex grasses, it is often used for revegetation planting.
Manuka is good for autumn planting but the roots must not be disturbed when planting.
Grows to 3-4m tall, does best full sun and part shade.
Tolerant of wet and dry and is very hardy.
